Call for LearnMichif.com Submissions!

The LearnMichif.com website is expanding and we are currently accepting written submissions from Metis Citizens.

Would you like to share an experience or let us know what Metis culture means to you? We want to hear from you! Tell us about who you are and where you come from or who we are and where are going.

Submissions can take the form of articles, essays, papers, short stories or poetry. Please send your submissions to mbrown@mnbc.ca by March 31, 2008. Thank you for your support!

2007-08 Project Announced

We are very proud to announce that LearnMichif has recieved additional funding to further upgrade, enhance and fill out the site. The LearnMichif team is already hard at work collecting new video interviews, content and material to help enrich Metis culture across Canada. Future upgrades to the site will include additional language lessons, further video interviews, profiles of established and up-and-coming Metis artists, along with expanded history sections and interactive activities.

Until then, stay tuned to the site. Content will be added as it is created. Expect some new video interviews before the Holiday season with the language lessons coming mid-winter.
