Amy Langton

Amy Langton

Hi! My name is Amy Langton, I am 28 years old and am from Abbotsford. I have recently been elected to the board of directors for the Fraser Valley Métis Association as their youth representative. I was born and raised in Northern B.C. but have since moved to the lower mainland. I have received an associate’s degree from the University of the Fraser Valley in Media and Communications. I enjoy arts and culture, photography, snowboarding, and yoga. I enjoy travel and have had the privilege of traveling to several countries throughout the world. Through travel, I have had the opportunity to learn about other cultures, languages and places. I hope that through my involvement in the Learn Michif project I will have the chance to learn even more about my own culture and connect with Métis elders. I am excited to learn more about the Michif language and hope to be able to pass on the valuable knowledge that I will gain to others in my family and community.
