Hello, my name is Jessica Glanzer and I'm from Kamloops, BC. I'm a grade ten student at Westsyde Secondary, active in my third year with the schools Concert choir, Jazz choir and the Kamloops Honor choir. Next year I’m excited to take Psychology and Law, which I'm considering majoring in when I attend University, with a minor in English. My interest with the Métis Society, started in Grade 5 when I did a history project on Métis people, which went to the final stage at the Kamloops Heritage Fair. I'm currently the youth representative for Two Rivers Métis Society, this being my third year, following the footsteps of my Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. I enjoy taking on leadership roles, sharing knowledge and opportunity with the youth. I’m excited about Learn Michif, having a love for both reading and writing, storytelling being a passion of mine. To me, everyone has a story that is worth writing, reading, listening to. We all have unique gifts we can share and the universal understanding is through personal experiences. I'm proud to be Métis!
